Horticulture Manager with The Biltmore Company in Ashville, North Carolina, Bill Quade will speak about maintaining the historical integrity of the Biltmore Estate and it's magnificent gardens. Built by George W. Vanderbilt in the 1890's, today the estate welcomes 1.5 million guests annually. Bil will address the influence Frederick Law Olmsted, original landscape designer for the Biltmore still has on the estate today. Bill will share the challenges he has had since joining the Biltmore in 1998, of bringing an 1890's estate in to the 21st century.
